My name is Nina, and I was born in the Faroe Islands. Although I have spent most of my life in the United States, my connection to the islands—and to the generations of women who came before me—has remained deeply woven into who I am. Growing up, I learned to knit from my mother and cousin, continuing a family tradition that has been carried through many hands and many years.

Knitting has always been more than a craft. It is a way of preserving heritage, expressing creativity, and creating something meaningful with patience and care. For over two decades, I have found joy in transforming natural fibers into pieces that are both beautiful and practical—garments made to be worn, loved, repaired, and passed down.

Founded in 2025, Lítla Knits began with a desire to share this tradition with others. What started as handmade pieces for family and friends has grown into a small studio devoted to heirloom-quality knitwear and bespoke creations. Every design is made in the United States and fully handmade with careful attention to detail, honoring the belief that true quality cannot be rushed.
